OKEHAMPTON Excelsior Silver Band will be holding their spring concert next week compered by local lad, Radio Devon?s Matt Woodley.

The annual spring fundraising concert will be in aid of BBC Radio Devon?s Chestnut Appeal.

The concert takes place in the charter hall, Okehampton, next Thursday (April 24) at 7.30pm.

The Chestnut Appeal aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer and is hoping to raise

6£1-million for the building of a new unit to treat patients with the disease.

Tickets can be obtained from Martins Butchers, Donalds or any band members.
