SEPTEMBER has been a busy couple of weeks of golf for the ladies of Okehampton Golf Club.

On September 7 the ladies played the September Medal for the LGU Breakthrough Breast Cancer pin. The winner was Linda Walker with a net 64 resulting in a handicap reduction to 29.

On September 9 the President's team lost to Libbaton in the semi-finals away at Yelverton.

On September 12 the ladies section, despite gale force winds, enjoyed their annual away day at Padbrook Park Golf Course at Cullompton. The winning team was Pamela Jarman, Lorna Evans, Sylvie Gowers and Maureen Howe.

And finally, on September 14 the ladies competed in the Daily Mail Foursomes competition.

The winners were Marcia Guy and Sue Stanbury, who will go on to represent the club in next round of this knockout competition.
