?THE Windmills of his Mind? is Noel Harrison?s latest one man show ? which comes to Moretonhampstead next month courtesy of Villages In Action. From huge festival audiences to small clubs and bars around the world Noel has played them all. His repertoire ranges from sophisticated standards to simple country tunes, all chosen by Noel, and sung in a voice that has matured like fine wine. Many dates have sold out as word spreads that it really is the Noel Harrison performing in small village venues. Noel?s life has been full and varied, from starring in musicals in London?s West End, to singing in honky tonks in America, from presenting on radio, to touring with the Beach Boys and Sonny and Cher in the sixties. Living the high life in Los Angeles to rural living in Nova Scotia and now living in rural Devon, Noel shares much of this in his show, along with ?The Windmills of his Mind?, the evocative Oscar-winning song for which he became a household name. Noel has a life-time of anecdotes, experiences and songs to share in an evening rich with self-deprecating humour and intriguing tunes from some of the world?s best composers. On Saturday December 1 he will be at Moretonhampstead?s King George V Sports and Community Centre at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £6 adult, £4.50 child/over 60 and can be bought at the centre on 01647 440107.
