HOT air balloons can take off from Simmons Park, Okehampton Town Council has decided.

Devon and Somerset Balloons made a request to the town council to use the park as a new location because they said it was 'particularly beautiful.'

The intention is to use the park to launch balloons around ten times a year, providing easy access to people from the Okehampton area who have booked flights and extra interest for those enjoying a stroll through the park.
