WHERE’S the pride? The truly pathetic performance by our bunch of ‘Prima Donna’ footballers in their round 16 game with Iceland defies belief!

Little wonder the England manager resigned immediately. What an embarrassment.

In contrast, we must salute the Welsh team who battled away and did their country proud.

What a disappointment for all those England fans who spent a small fortune travelling the world only to be frustrated time and time again.

On July 30 it will be 50 years since England won the World Cup at Wembley Stadium — England 4 Germany 2. What an afternoon that was, with Martin Peters, Geoff Hurst and the late, great Bobby Moore receiving the trophy from the Queen.

A proud captain, a proud team, a proud nation. A momentous occasion!

Sadly, the very opposite today!
