LETTERBOXERS from across the UK flocked to Princetown on Sunday to attend the bi-annual letterbox meet.
The spring meet was a chance for letterboxers to get together, new members to register for the 100 club and for letterboxers to buy clues for charity letterbox walks.
There were a number of stalls at the meet, including Ink Print and Kountry Kit, and visitors were able to buy catalogues, rubber stamps and associated walking equipment.
Organiser of the event, Roger Paul from Throwleigh, said: 'We've been doing these events for about 31 years and this was our 61st letterbox meet.
'Around 1,200 people attended the meet throughout the day and there were people from Reading, Southampton, the Midlands and all over the UK.
'We also had 21 new letterboxers who came to register for the 100 club.
'The charity stalls sold quite a lot of clues and most of them made around £500.
'The meet has really grown from its early beginnings.'
The next letterbox meet will be held on October 31.
Tavistock RNLI has its new letterbox walk set out on the moors near Lydford.
The 12 stamps, hidden around the slopes near Great Nodden Hill, should take two to three hours to complete, and will be on the moors until October.
Clue sheets can be obtained by sending a £2.50 cheque donation made out to RNLI Tavistock branch and a self addressed envelope to The Restells, The Coach House, Peter Tavy, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 9NP.
