I?M writing in advance of June?s Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month to urge all your readers to learn more about prostate and testicular cancers.
Having lost my own father to prostate cancer, I know first hand the devastating effect this disease can have. Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer to affect men. With 27,000 new cases diagnosed in the UK each year, this disease blights the lives of many families.
But when the disease is caught early enough it can be successfully treated or managed, so be aware of the symptoms and if you have any concerns get it checked out by your doctor.
If you would like to find out more about prostate or testicular cancer,or to make a donation, please call the Everyman Campaign on 0800 731 9468 or visit their website at http://www.icr.ac.uk/everyman">www.icr.ac.uk/everyman and let?s stop men dying of ignorance.
