I WOULD like to thank Darren Bostock and the members of Okehampton Cycle club for organising a road race around Okehampton.

Although the weather could have been kinder, I and other committee members, thought how much the town benefited from this event.

The atmosphere in Fore Street was very good with people cheering, blowing whistles and clapping the participants.

The people who lined the street were entertained by a jazz band in Red Lion Yard and a unicyclist and juggler.

This is just the type of event Okehampton needs.

There have been many positive comments made to me and I hope the Cycle Club feel it was worthwhile and that we might be able to make this an annual event.
