HOW very exciting to see work has begun on our wonderful new hospital.

We would very much like to thank everyone who supported the lunch and dinner at Northlew Manor last weekend and especially those who were unable to come but so generously supported the hospital with donations.

Very many thanks also to the local benefactors who donated items to be auctioned, providers of food, and very importantly to the many, many helpers who worked so very hard — from washing up, fetching and carrying, serving, to organising car parking in the rain, etc.

We do so hope that the fund-raising momentum will continue as, despite the tremendous effort so far, it is always the last leg that proves the difficult part.
