PARISHIONERS in Lifton are invited to a Lent lunch next month, raising money to help people, especially farmers, who have been affected by the recent flooding in Somerset and fishermen who have not been able to get to sea.
There are appeals through the NFU and the Fisherman's Mission to help those worst hit and, on behalf of Lifton St Mary's Church, a simple lunch during Lent will be held in the church hall in Duntz Hill on Saturday, March 22 from 12.30pm to 2pm.
Donations will be shared equally between these two charities.
