TEACHING assistants from the Tavistock and District Learning Community, from schools including Whitchurch Primary, Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary, Princetown Primary and St Peter's Primary, attended a teaching assistant induction course recently.

The course covered topics such as numeracy, literacy and special needs and was one of many of the opportunities in which schools in the community gather to train and develop staff.
