TWO matches were played last Sunday as part of Tavistock Netball League?s new season. The first match saw last season league runners up playing netball newcomers Blue Angels.
Blue Angels, who have taken on a number of new players since last season, worked hard with impressive defending against a strong Delaware attack. Delaware, however, pulled away in the second half of the game and by the final quarter had established a strong lead. Final score Blue Angels 13 Delaware A 37. The second game saw last season?s league champions WWA playing against the ever improving Red Devils. Red Devils started well; however, accurate passing and a strong shooting partnership saw WWA establish an early lead. The Red Devils never gave up but were unable to make up the goal difference.
