YELVERTON Bohemians Combined Under 11s completed the league and cup double for the second successive season with a comprehensive eight wicket victory over Plympton in the  West Devon Youth League Cup Final at Cornwood, stretching their winning run to 28 matches over the last two seasons.

Yelverton Under 11s A Team, the Hurricanes, had already won the West Devon Youth League A Division for a second successive season and included a few of their B side, the Mosquitoes, who had a very successful season winning all their 11 matches.

Yelverton won the toss and sent Plympton into bat on a blustery morning at Oak Park.  An accurate opening spell by Lachlan Fulton and Daniel Farnham tied up the Plympton top order who reached only 22 runs after 10 overs and with the pressure mounting wickets fell for James Casey (3-21) and Ben Dunlop (3-15) as Plympton tried to accelerate the scoring with Jon Hawley (3-4) wrapping up the tail.  Plympton were all out for 61 runs with top scorer Devon Under 13 girl Olivia Jones.

An opening partnership of 38 for Dan Farnham (9) and Jon Hawley (18 not out) off the first 7 overs put Yelverton in charge with Hawley (man of the match) carrying his bat as Yelverton knocked off the remaining runs with over 7 overs remaining and for the loss of just 2 wickets.  Plympton's best bowler was Dominic Allen with 2-16.
