THE ladies of Yelverton Golf Club played their monthly stableford on March 21.
The silver division was won by Laura Eastwood with 37 points, Di Friend was second with 34 points and Jean James was third with 25 points.
The bronze division was won by Aine Binchy with 35 points, Julie Percy was second with 32 points and Evelyn Dyche third with 31 points.
Laura Eastwood, Gilly Jarvis, Marie Watson and Di Friend represented Yelverton Ladies in The Mail on Sunday competition, in the second round match at Torquay on March 22. They lost 2-1, with a good win by Laura. Gillie halved her match and Marie and Di did battle but lost on the 18th and 17th holes respectively.
Ladies' captain Pat Gove recently announced the winners of the LGU medals for 2001. Gilly Jarvis won the silver medal and Helen Harris won the bronze.
Laura Eastwood is in Paris this week representing England in the French Under 21 Open, she then travels to Rome to play for England in an Under 18 four nations competition.
