THIS game was ruined by a rock hard pitch and a light ball that caused problems when it bounced.
Gerrans? keeper mishandled a Westlake free kick for the lead, Bere?s keeper doing the same for Gerrans? equaliser.
Westlake restored Bere?s lead with a header; poor defending allowed Gerrans to equalise.
Wheeler put Bere back in front, hitting home from the edge of the box.
Both teams toiled in the heat and Gerrans equalised, almost straight from the kick-off. Bere went back in front from a Crabb header. Late on Gerrans were awarded a penalty which was struck wide.
This Saturday home, Duchy division 2 to St Merryn, 2.30pm kick-off.

BERE attacked and missed an open goal in the first minute.
Bere had St Giles penned in their own half. Williams hit the post and the keeper made a finger-tip save from a Robinson header.
Playing up the slope Bere pushed St Giles back. A long through-ball from Martin set up Bratchly to score from 20 yards and against the run of play St Giles equalised.
Two more breaks put St Giles in front.
