DEPRIVED of three regulars, Callington battled well throughout the derby, but two late goals sealed victory for high riding Liskeard.
The home side edged the first half but could not find a way past Town keeper Andy Brenton who pulled off a series of fine saves. At the other end, Paul Webber caused the home defence some problems, but cleared the bar with his best chance.
Callington's rearguard was finally breached when they failed to clear and Skerton netted the loose ball. In the final minutes, with Callington having to force the pace, Liskeard broke and Bowker fired past Brenton for the second.

CALLINGTON manager Paul Blatchford was anxious for his charges to assert their league superiority over their Duchy Two opponents and the Marshmen did not disappoint in a tense cup encounter at Ginsters Marshfield Parc.
Within 10 minutes, Chris Truscott had twice netted to put the home side on their way. Darran Barford increased the lead with a scorcher in the second period and Simon Hunt grabbed a fourth before Queens got a late consolation. So Callington progressed to a semi-final clash against either Saltash WMC. St Stephen or Godolphin Atlantic on February 5.

Callington second team travel to Fowey United in the Duchy League Premier Division while the thirds meet Bere Alston in Duchy League Division Four East.
