THERE's an opportunity to wave the patriotic flags at a special concert taking place in Bridestowe this weekend.

Stannary Brass Band of Tavistock are staging 'Big Band' style show, ending in a flourish with the 'Last Night of the Proms' music in Bridestowe Village Hall, to raise funds for St Bridget's Church.

The concert starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 20. Tickets, to include a free pasty, are £7 for adults, £3.50 for children, £18 for a family ticket for two adults and two children and are available from Riverside Stores in Bridestowe or on the door.

A licensed bar will be available from 7pm and there will be a raffle in aid of ShelterBox.
