Braunton 6 Okehampton U12s 3 SHORTLY before half time when it looked unlikely this would be a high scoring match, the ball bounced very high on the dry ground, near the Okehampton goal, and over the Okehampton Argyle goalkeeper?s head straight into the net. It looked like the score would remain 1-0 until half time. However a mistake by the Braunton goalkeeper led to a free kick that was taken by Okehampton?s Will Searle. The shot rebounded off the goalpost but a brilliant header by Paul Gent headed the ball into the net to make the score 1-1. However the pressure put on by Braunton brought them two more goals in short sucession. Okehampton came out the stronger after the half time break. However luck was not on their side and the score increased to 5-1 to Braunton. Okehampton had not given up and when a free kick was given, Will Searle took the shot and made the score 5-2. Braunton had not finished either and shortly scored their sixth goal. Before the end of the match Okehampton?s Craig Dennis weaved his way through Braunton, to score.
