THE Hurdwick August medal was played in favourable conditions and with a very large entry for a holiday season competition.

Division two — 1, P Brookbank 85-23-62; 2, T Gale 88-21-67; 3, M Gill 89-21-68.
Ladies — 1, E Raikes 92-27-65; 2, A Martyn 93-23-70; 3, A Samphier 109-35-74.
Tony Pearson took top place in division one on countback over the last six holes but the overall winner was Peter Brookbank with an excellent net 62.
The 'twos' sweep was shared between Kevin Pugh, Ray Spear and Barry Golden.
