Carlsberg South Western League Tavistock 1 St Blazey 7 A SPIRITED Tavistock team were toppled at Langsford Park by champions St Blazey on Saturday. A long ball down the middle was headed on for Hooper to chip Andy Meads, run on to beat a convering defender and slot home for a good finish. Blazey?s second came in first half stoppage-time when Steve Ovens latched onto a ball over the Lambs? defence to skip around Meads and fire into an empty net. Hooper made it 3-0 ten minutes after the break, then tapped the ball home to complete his hat-trick before Mark Conday replied for the home side with a cracking drive from the edge of the area. It was only a short respite for Tavistock, as St Blazey scored three in the last 15 minutes with an own goal. Forthcoming fixtures, Saturday, Carlsberg, away to Porthleven, 2.30pm kick off.
