IT has been all change during the close season at Tavistock AFC with Robin Fenner returning after a four-year break to take over the chair from Dave Rowe.

Dave did a tremendous amount of work off the field and through his efforts the club has moved forward and become a force in the South Western League. Pressure of work forced him to step down but the club are delighted he has remained on the committee to be the Crowndale representative.

All the officers remain in post and the committee has been added to with a large contingent of ladies to help with match days and fundraising.

Many changes have taken place on the managerial front with Chris Abbott and Craig Smith taking over the reins of the South Western League side with the backing of ex-professional Graeme Kirkup in a player/coach role and Arthur Blamey taking charge of training.

Jeff Babb has returned, Nathan Blamey from Saltash, Jason Carwardine from Falmouth and James Cole from Saltash - with the majority of last year's squad remaining it looks to be an exciting season for the Lambs.

Father and son Pete Gibson senior and junior take over the Plymouth and District side with Steve Bray assisting. Pre-season has gone well and they will be looking forward to the campaign which starts this Saturday.

Rob Harvey has taken over the U18s and will look to build on the success of last year that saw the team reach the Devon Youth Cup Final.
