FOR many of us, entering a competition is often done for fun, rarely expecting to win, but for one Tavistock woman winning seems to come easy.
Pat Hewes from Bishopsmead in Tavistock, has, in the past five years, won, among other small prizes, £500 worth of champagne and wine, a weekend away for two at a top Plymouth hotel, £100 worth of clothing vouchers, wedding fayre tickets and most recently a new mini oven and grill from Lawsons in Tavistock.
Lucky Pat said that she never expects she will win and it is always a surprise when she does.
?When I heard I?d won the recent Lawsons competition, I couldn?t believe I?d won again,? she said. ?My friends and family joke about me winning all the time now. They want to copy my lottery numbers down, in the hope that it will be my next win,? she added.
