Tavistock Swimming Club hosted a friendly gala when they invited Exmouth SLSS and Devonport Royal SA to join them. Although Exmouth held the lead most of the time and were the eventual gala winners, the other teams battled constantly to keep them on their toes. Tavistock finished in second place, gaining 15 first places on the way and used the 'spare' lane for swimmers to achieve competition times for future events. Kirsty Best opened the gala for Tavistock, winning the ladies' open individual medley and went onto win the ladies' open breaststroke. First places in backstroke were gained by Francesca White (girls 11/U), Chloe Greep (girls 13/U), Kameron Brimble (boys 13/U) and Lea Cantow (ladies' open). In the freestyle events, winners proved to be Holly Gibbs (girls 11/U), Harry Thompson (boys 11/U), Sam Harmsworth (boys 15/U) and Laura Radgick (ladies' open). Strong relay teams provided winning places in the boys 11/U medley, boys 15/U medley and freestyle, men's open medley and ladies' open freestyle.
