P&WDCFL Senior Division Queen's Arms Tamerton 3 Buckland MC 5 TEN minutes into the match Buckland found themselves 2-0 up after two Kinsman penalties. Both decisions were relatively easy for the referee to give — a trip on Arberry for the first and a push in the back on Kinsman. The 'Bucks' were then unfortunate to lose the services of Andy Fallon. The full back had just missed with a shot after a marauding 60-yard run and in the action of shooting twisted knee ligaments. Ryan Williams came on and gave a competent performance. Buckland eased into a three-goal lead as Kinsman in space, and in confident form, blasted the ball past the luckless Tamerton keeper to complete his hat-trick. The response from Queen's was swift. A pacey near-post corner by Dean Glanville was deflected into his own net by John Butler. Buckland's response was just as quick and from a similar source. Kinsman's corner was missed by the massed heads of the Queen's defence, but found Russell Ellis whose deft header evaded the clutches of the Tamerton keeper. Buckland exerted more pressure as the second half began but it was Queen's who netted first and again it was Glanville the scorer. Almost immediately it was Buckland through Brockington to score. His speculative, lofted passed deceived the onrushing Queen's keeper and bounced out of his reach into the roof of the net. Buckland created and missed a string of good chances. Coole, Arberry, Ellis and Orchard all went close. Often they were thwarted by the skill of the home keeper. Queen's Arms had the last chance and scored a beauty. Craig Hodgson flighted a great shot past the athletic attempt to save by Remi Moses into the Buckland goal.
