A DEVON accountancy firm with an office in Okehampton, has added to its specialist business services by recruiting an additional VAT expert to offer business health checks.

Simpkins Edwards has appointed VAT specialist Keri Quertier (pictured right)?to visit clients and discuss ways in which they can maximise their VAT savings whilst remaining fully compliant and in a strong position to cope with the rise in VAT to 20% on January 4.

Keri, who has more than 12 years' experience in the industry, having worked in HM Customs and Excise and latterly Deloitte as a senior manager within the indirect tax group, said: 'I'm delighted to be joining Simpkins Edwards in this role and look forward to working with a wide variety of clients.
