West Buckland School 10 Kelly College 14 KELLY dominated the first 20 minutes. After a great break from fly half Liam Yeo, his fellow centre Jack Newton was on his shoulder to race to the line after side-stepping the full back. James Falvey converted for Kelly to go 7-0 ahead. Kelly realised they were stronger out wide and again ran the ball well for full back Dominic McCarthy to score. Falvey converted. West Buckland managed to put their opposition under some pressure and came away with a solitary penalty in the first half. At 14-3 most would have expected an easy ride for Kelly. But for the next 30 minutes they defended their own goal line and eventually West Buckland crossed under the posts after a well worked set backs play. At 14-10, Kelly continued to defend with all their might, even when they were down to 13 men after two were sin-binned for being offside on a regular basis. Ironically, the final whistle went when Kelly had driven West Buckland back over their own goal-line with fierce tackling.
