KELLY Preparatory School entered two teams into the quiz club inter-school Year 5 science competition recently.

More than 800 schools from across the country compete in a highly technical  and exciting quiz challenge. On May 9 the teams took part in the area heats at Truro School and Kelly A were victorious, qualifying for the semi-finals. They will compete in June against eleven other teams for a place in the finals. 

Kelly B team also did well, being placed fourth.

They answered questions on topics as varied as Jupiter's moons, human muscles and the 80th element of the Periodic Table! It was an exciting match with the fun of a big screen, sound effects and interactive devices for answers.

Caroline Jenks science Cco-ordinator at Kelly Prep said: 'I am thrilled with the performance of our pupils at this prestigious event, it was a well deserved win after all their enthusiastic preparation.'
