LADIES in the area have been busy with their knitting and crochet and to date have produced 832 blankets, 9,541 babies? jumpers and 5,319 woolly hats for sending to destitute people in Africa.
This has been made possible by the many people in the area who leave their unwanted wool at the Tavistock Library for collection.
This is very much appreciated. May we, therefore, through this Letters Page, offer our sincere thanks for their ongoing support. While they supply the wool ? we?ll provide the busy fingers. thanks again.
