KART racing driver Jordan Williams from Tavistock made the long journey to Northern Ireland last weekend, together with a huge contingent of other mainland drivers, for the penultimate round of the British Junior Kart Racing Championships.
Jordan competed in the Junior Mini Max class as part of the Stars of Tomorrow series and was up against tough competition from all over the UK and Ireland.
The event was at Nutts Corner Motorsports Centre, 20 miles out of Belfast, a circuit considered a real drivers circuit and one of the toughest of the
championships.
Jordan had an excellent meeting from the start taking him to a midfield position on the final grid, but the racing was demanding and Jordan finished lower down than expected after a tough race against defending champion Adam Christodoulou from Litchfield.
However, Jordan?s overall results gave his championship hopes a tremendous boost as he heads toward the final round at the famous Brooklands circuit.
