A WITTY 'whodunnit' is promising to entertain audiences at Brentor Village Hall from this evening (Thursday) to Saturday.

The Brentorians' spring production of 'Under the Patio' sees tongues wagging and accusations flying when a body is discovered buried under the patio of an unassuming little bungalow in the village of Southam. No-one can remember who put down the patio in the first place.

Unfortunately for the village gossips the only person who may remember is losing her memory and is now living somewhere back in the 1970s. The rumour mill falls silent and the villagers start to turn on each other until someone has a bright idea of sending the whole village back in time to the 1970s to help loosen the old lady's memory.

Local film-animator Brian Wood has written the funny and clever play for the Brentorians and will be directing this first production.

The shows takes place today (Thursday), tomorrow and Saturday. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm curtain-up.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and £12.50 for a family ticket (two adults, two children), and are available from the box office on 01822 810412.
