FOR the fifth consecutive year, a representation from the Jujitsu Tavistock and Launceston clubs travelled to Italy for the international jujitsu summer camp joining a large number of martial artists from all over Europe
Umberto Bergonzini, the club instructor, said: 'It was a fantastic week, filled with lots of hard training but at the same time with lots of fun.
'We all learnt a lot from the guest instructors, some of the best in the world. We got to practice in various disciplines, Aikido, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hakko Ryu Jujutsu, Goju Ryu Jujitsu, Combat Jujitsu and the use of nunchaku.
'It was also good to share training tips and experiences with so many practitioners from different countries. All in all a wonderful experience and we are already looking forward to next year's camp.'
Jujitsu Tavistock will be running beginners' classes for all ages every session throughout the months of September. Anyone interested in joining can contact Umberto on 07866 720361 or come to one of the classes.
