A tight opening bowling spell by Ben Grove supported by Ben Dunlop restricted Plympton to 41 at the halfway stage after 10 overs.
Plympton, with wickets in hand, failed to increase their scoring rate and were contained by further accurate bowling from Pierce Widdecombe and George White together with sharp Yelverton fielding - particularly from Adam Talbott, Max Pamplin and Luke Julyan.
Plympton finished on 87-3 in their 20 overs with White (2-17) being the pick of the Yelverton bowlers.
The Yelverton opening pair batted sensibly and, having seen off the Plympton fast bowlers, took the score to 33 after 8 overs. Widdecombe and Grove then accelerated the rate, taking Yelverton to 65-1 after 12 overs.
Finally, some big hitting from Wilf Hadow, well supported by Ralph Lopes and George White, saw Yelverton home with 3 overs to spare. Widdecombe (26) and Hadow (19) were Yelverton's top scorers.
After the match league secretary Andy Alford presented the West Devon Cup to Yelverton captain Ben Grove to add to the League Trophy Yelverton won at the end of July.
George White was presented with the player of the match trophy for his accurate bowling and dynamic fielding.
