AN appeal for some committed and enthusiastic new members has this week been issued by a West Devon skate group.
Taviskate has many active skateboarders, BMX riders and in-line skaters but the group is looking for extra help to enable them to reach their £90,000 fundraising target to create a new skatepark in Tavistock.
The group already has the design for the park, developed with the involvement of the young skating members, and has created a partnership with the borough and town councils and Youthwize.
Bob Pilbeam of Taviskate said:'Taviskate needs more active and involved members to help raise the £90,000 — in particular we need parents or other adults able to support the young people in their efforts.'
