THE wedding of Sally John, daughter of Glyn and Judith John, and Lee Renard, youngest son of Keith and Shirley Renard, of Leeds, took place at Aldermaston Manor, Aldermaston, in the summer.
Sally and Lee are both in the RAF, based at Odiham, Hampshire, and while Sally was on detachment in the Falklands during late 2010, Lee flew down to join her for Christmas, surprising her with an engagement ring.
Sally was born in Tavistock and attended Whitchurch Primary School and Tavistock College before completing a two-year pre-services course at the CFE in Plymouth.
She has served 15 years in the RAF within Movements while Lee is a Flight Sergeant and Winchman on Chinook Helicopters.
Sally was attended by close friend Helen, whom she met when joining up, and her daughter Isla, aged 3, together with Danni, aged 7, another friend's daughter.
Family and close friends from both the RAF and the Boys' Brigade, of which Lee is a former member, attended the wedding.
The couple honeymooned in Mauritus and are now living at RAF Odiham.
