JEROME Irons is the new chairman of Calstock Parish Council, taking over the role from Jane Moore.

Steven Jaggard from the Harrowbarrow ward was elected as vice chairman.

Cllr Irons said it was an honour to serve as chairman again. He last served as leader of the council from 2007 to 2009.
