THE winner of Yelverton Golf Club ladies Stableford division one was Gilly Jarvis with 33 points, with runner-up Jean James on 31. Division two was won by Denise Wills with 30pts on the back nine from runner-up Teresa Holt.

The Norton Rose Bowl was presented in 1964 by Miss L S Norton. It is played for in conjunction with the August Stableford and is only eligible for veterans aged 55 and over. Winner of the bowl was Jean James on 31pts on the back nine with runner-up Joan Voisin also on 31.

A past lady captains' day was held last Thursday. A full handicap Stableford over 13 holes was won by Pat Chambers with 23 points. Pat was presented with a bottle of wine by last years winner Penny Hunter.

The ladies captain made a special presentation of a bouquet of flowers to June Smalley in recognition of her captaincy 60 years ago.
