THERE were smiles all round at St Peter's CofE Junior School in Tavistock when nine year old Jason Holland was presented with his prize as the overall winner of a painting competition.
The competition is held annually by law firm Tozers LLP and the winning entry becomes their Christmas card for the year, being sent to clients and contacts all over the country.
Jason also won a family day out at Woodlands Leisure Park and a £500 cheque for the school.
Jason's cheerful image of a snowman was judged the overall winner from more than 300 paintings entered by schools in Devon.
Graham Bond, chairman of Tozers, presented the prizes, which included one to Jack Dashper, aged 6, from St Rumon's Infants' School, who won his age category.
Headteacher of St Peter's Mrs Clare Wesson said they were thrilled Jason had won the main prize and the money given to the school would go towards providing resources for St Peter's.
