TAVISTOCK Swimming Club had seven competitors in the Devon Championships 14 and under Sprint Gala, all events being 50m, at Central Park in Plymouth. Tavistock?s highest placed swimmer was Jake Broome who swam a personal best of 27.62 seconds to secure 1st place in the 14 years Freestyle and went on to take 3rd in both the Backstroke and Butterfly and 7th in Breaststroke. These placings gave Jake overall 3rd place in his age group. Ross Williams took 4th in the 13 years age group with a one second personal best time in the Butterfly and swam a 2 second pb in the Breaststroke. Tom Waddington?s highest placing was 7th in his age group for Breaststroke and the Butterfly gave Tom Grennan-Cruise 10th in the his age group. Fran Gould swam a personal best in the 12 years Butterfly to finish in 10th place just before team-mate Laura Aspen who came in 11th place. Rebecca Windemer swam good personal best times in all her events.
