NEARLY forty people attended the inaugural meeting of the West Dartmoor Art Group in Peter Tavy Village Hall, last Wednesday.
The group decided to hold meetings on a weekly basis, on Wednesdays from 10am-12 noon. They hope to have monthly demonstrations and tuition, as well as painting at interesting locations.
Michael Sanders, from Calstock, the vice-president of the Society of All Artists gave a demonstration of painting in oils with a pallet knife at the meeting.
The West Dartmoor art group is affiliated to the Society of All Artists and is open to anyone whatever their ability.
