I FEEL compelled to write in response to the criticism that Okehampton shopkeepers had failed to come up with financial support for a millennium celebration in the town.
I do not wish to engage in any form of argument whatsoever; I am keen to make it clear that no shopkeeper that I've come into contact with received any financial request, obviously hence that weak response.
We value our loyal — and mostly lovely! — customers and therefore work extremely long hours to produce the quality they've come to expect. This makes attending meetings difficult, to say the least.
We don't suffer from apathy but exhaustion.
