CALSTOCK Arts Centre will be full with poetry over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29. A brand new poetry competition accompanies the Cornwall Contemporary Poetry Festival, judged by internationally acclaimed poet Imtiaz Dharker, who will also be headlining. The festival will feature readings by some of the UK's best-known poets, as well as some new voices. The line-up includes two ward-winning poets, Greta Stoddart, and David Morley, who is a professor of poetry at Warwick University. Throughout the weekend will be panel discussions, workshops and field trips run by the poets. The festival is an initiative of Falmouth Poetry Group which was founded in 1972 by the acclaimed poet Peter Redgrove. Tickets for the whole weekend are £45 (£35 concessions) and tickets for individual readings and workshops will also be available.
