MAY I, through your paper, thank those people who took the trouble to turn out and attend the Tavistock Council public meeting held on October 25 about the proposed development at the Manor, Tavistock. The town hall was full.

Councillors present were left in no doubt about the strength of feeling against an entrance at Inswell Court which if allowed, would greatly increase the amount of vehicles already using existing very small estate roads.

It was a great pity that the applicants, Wimpey and Westbury Homes, did not feel able to send a spokesman to answer the many questions asked. I wonder why this was?
