Tuesday saw the ladies play against Victoria in a home league game which Yelverton won handsomely, gaining six points. On Wednesday the men played an away match against Electra which the club was pleased to say ended in a win for Yelverton.
Thursday was the big day when members entertained the president of Devon?s team. This was quite an honour for the club and members were complimented on the state of the green.
This was the first time a president?s team has visited the club and Yelverton are delighted to report it ended in a win for them. The ladies were also complimented on the wonderful spread they produced for the afternoon tea.
On Friday the ladies had a home league game against Civil Service ?Blues? and again Yelverton were able to record an overall win, gaining four points.
The club?s away friendly matches both ended in losses, Saturday against Kensey Vale and Sunday against Constantine.
Seemingly it was so cold, misty and windy at Constantine members had difficulty holding their woods which were often wind assisted. Yelverton lost by one shot.
