A COURSE hailed by women as inspiring a turning point in their lives is to be run for a third time in West Devon. Following the success of the Pattern Changing Courses that South Devon Women?s Aid have run in West Devon over the last two years, another will run in January. The course is an educational one for women who have had or are experiencing domestic abuse and want to make changes in their lives. It includes assertiveness skills, boundary setting and goal-setting. Some of the feedback received from women over the last two years include comments such as ?I am proud to be me and without this course I wouldn?t have my children? , ?It has been a turning point in my life on all levels? and ?I remembered I did have a life and that I was a valid human being?. If you are interested in taking part on the next course ring 01837 55228 and ask for details. This is also the Helpline number if you would like to speak to someone in confidence.
