MID Devon Pony Club girls (pictured right) pulled off a great coup at the weekend qualifying for the National Tetrathlon Championships. The team, Charlotte Rowe, Lucy Almond, Jessica Mortimore & Rosa Malseed, competing for the first time as novice seniors comfortably won the Area competition. Charlotte won the class individually with the best swim and best run, Lucy came fourth with a clear ride and Rosa sixth. The course at Warren Farm Hatherleigh, provided a stiff challenge and a night of heavy rain made slippery conditions an additional worry, but all four girls rode with maturity to ensure the team?s victory. They will now travel to Warwickshire in August to take on the rest of the country.
