A WELL attended Sports Week resulted in new interest in table tennis for the club. With membership always slow in the summer it was refreshing to see so many juniors and adults looking at table tennis as a sport.

Results from the week were: Junior U17 winner Joe Rice, r/u Ashley Clark; U14 winner Stuart Jarvis, r/u Ashley Clark; U12 Ashley Clark, r/u Tom Rattenbury.

Men's singles winner, Fred Phillips, r/u Francis Griffiths; doubles winners Fred Phillips and Frank Cockburn, r/u Roger Thorpe and Martin Bessell. Over 50s winner Fred Phillips, r/u Frank Cockburn.

Thanks were expressed to all who supported this week and especially to Claire Goater who made the results, collected and recorded them.
