WOMEN in Okehampton and the surrounding area have been invited to the launch of a new business support network.

The launch, organised by the Women Do Business Programme, is being held at the White Hart Hotel in Okehampton on Tuesday, December 8 at 8pm.

Paricipants will have the opportunity to hear how women can gain free training, support and advice to run their own business.

Jan Spencer, who is organising the event, said: 'The evening will provide information about a new programme that will provide free help and inspiration to women thinking about setting up in business or those who already have a business but would appreciate further support and the opportunity to network with other local business women.

'We are delighted with the opportunity to develop a new Women Do Business support network for women in this area.

'There has already been a lot of enthusiasm from local women and we are hoping for a good turn out at the White Hart.'
