THE women of the Okehampton Columbines Hockey Club received a cheque at their recent race night.
President of Okehampton Inner Wheel Club Sandra Moppett presented the cheque for £250. The money will be used to provide additional coaching of the basic skills for less experienced players, with another coach taking the more advanced group.
The funding will enable the hockey club to cover the costs of hiring the all-weather pitch to provide enough space to run two separate groups as well as the coaches' expenses.
