Carlsberg South Western League Plymouth Parkway 4 Callington Town 1 THE 35th minute injury to their influential midfielder Chris Gerry proved to be the turning point for Callington Town as they succumbed to a second half onslaught from Plymouth Parkway. Until that moment, Town had held their opponents with a mixture of sometimes good and sometimes desperate defending, and a series of fine saves from their teenage keeper Jamie Harrison. It was the third minute of injury time when Parkway eventually took the lead when Tom Lavis?s strike from the 18 yard box eluded the insighted Harrison. With their midfield now without Gerry and the already injured Andy Striplin, the difficult task for Town became almost impossible as the hosts set about their visitors and on the hour Koran Whitfield doubled the advantage. The Callington defence was now under constant pressure and seven minutes later Kevin Parker added a third before Danny Worthy scored number four shortly afterwards. The last word was Callington?s however, as Wayne Mouselli set up Sam Stevens to score with three minutes left. Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League Callington Town 1 Launceston 2 ROB Tasker combined with Chris Truscott before firing Callington ahead on 25 minutes. Launceston capitalised on two pieces of defensive frailty from the home side to grab the lead within 10 minutes. First Steve Greenaway levelled matters before Shane Hooper rounded the keeper to put the visitors ahead. The second half was an even affair with both sides having chances but neither could beat the keepers and so the visitors held on for a revenge victory.
