POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man indecently exposed himself to a woman on Dartmoor on Wednesday, April 22.

The incident happened near Long Ash Garden Centre, Yelverton, around 2pm.

Police said a man in a silver hatchback pulled up in his car next to a woman and began to take off his top whilst in the vehicle. The woman felt uncomfortable by what she saw so drove away but the man proceeded to follow her and get out of the vehicle and expose himself.

West Devon Inspector Mark Sloman wanted to reassure people that the police receive very few reports of this nature and that this crime was a 'rare occurrence'.

The man is described as being a while male in his 40s with light brown hair, of slim build with tattoos on his arms, neck and top of shoulderblades, with wings tattooed further down his back.
